Field Service Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Perform repair and overhaul of mechanical equipment in strict accordance with company and client procedures, safety standards and quality requirements;
• Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines and gearboxes;
• Carry out alignment, bearing and seal replacement, and basic condition checks on rotating equipment;
• Carry out disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and performance testing of equipment at client sites and in the company workshop to ensure reliable and efficient operation;
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting, identify mechanical failures and their root causes and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and performance;
• Support equipment installation, alignment, commissioning, start-up and operational testing at client facilities;
• Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, service procedures and technical specifications;
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations;
• Prepare detailed service reports documenting inspection findings, measurements, repair activities, replaced components, test results and recommendations;

Required Background, Skills and Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering or a related technical field;
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, rotating equipment repair and overhaul or field service preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and technical specifications;
• Good command of written and spoken English;
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work at industrial sites and travel to customer locations when required;
