IT Coordinator

Hotel Indigo Baku is looking for an IT Coordinator to join our team!

We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled and service-oriented IT Coordinator to support our hotel's technology operations and ensure that all systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Your day-to-day

As an IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and monitoring computer hardware, ensuring that all equipment and systems are properly installed and operating efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of data security and physical IT security.
• Ensuring that all data backups are completed, properly documented and securely stored in accordance with established procedures.
• Administering user IDs, passwords and system access rights, ensuring that sensitive resources and critical system libraries are properly secured under the supervision of the IT Manager.
• Managing configuration reports, program files and data files to ensure optimal system performance.
• Installing, testing and implementing approved software updates and changes to the hotel's computer systems.
• Providing recommendations and supporting the development of the hotel's IT roadmap to meet both short-term and long-term business needs.
• Keeping up to date with approved IT systems, technologies and relevant developments.
• Ensuring compliance with IHG technology policies and standards, as well as applicable local laws, regulations and industry requirements, including PCI DSS, PII and data protection standards.
• Understanding the hotel's operational needs, business processes and upcoming projects to provide effective IT support.

What we need from you

We are looking for a highly organized, energetic and self-motivated individual who can take initiative, manage multiple tasks and remain calm and effective under pressure.

Ideally, you will have some or all of the following qualifications and competencies:

• Diploma or vocational qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, computer setup and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of hotel management systems and software, preferably Opera PMS and MICROS.
• Working knowledge of computer networks, operating systems and databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to management and colleagues.
• A proactive, responsible and hardworking approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple priorities under pressure.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Azerbaijani. Knowledge of English and Russian will be considered an advantage.
