Assistant Construction Manager (Masonry Works)

Location: Shahdag

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Construction Manager for all on-site masonry and related operations.
• Responsible for all masonry operations, including contractor works for brickwork, blockwork, gobustone, stone cladding, and structural masonry;
• Coordinate on-site masonry activities, ensuring seamless execution alongside formwork, rebar, and concrete works where applicable;
• Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with masonry subcontractors and trade foremen;
• Review and thoroughly understand the scope of work for each masonry trade, detailed architectural designs, technical specifications, and method statements;
• Prepare accurate daily site reports focusing on masonry progress, labor force, and site conditions;
• Administering personnel’s and subcontractor's timesheets;
• Manage site logistics, material distribution, and safe storage of bricks, blocks, mortar, and other masonry materials in high-altitude/mountain conditions (Shahdag);
• Take full responsibility and ownership of area control, quality assurance, and safety compliance for all masonry zones.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
• Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in construction management, with a strong, demonstrable focus on masonry works (brickwork, blockwork, and stone masonry);
• Deep understanding of masonry construction standards, material specifications, mortar mixes, and reading detailed structural and architectural drawings;
• Proven experience in managing contractors, on-site trades, and daily site operations;
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English;
• Ability to work effectively on-site in challenging weather and geographical conditions (Shahdag region).
